I took friday off from work and headed up north for a couple of days of trout fishing in northern Wisconsin. My home base was Merrill. Thursday night I hit Big Haymeadow Creek, a first for me. The water was darkly stained with tannins, but the wading was fairly easy despite not always being able to see the bottom.
